West Coast Vintage Car Club

From Haast to Karamea, the West Coast Vintage Car Club (WCVCC) celebrates classic vehicles and the rich motoring heritage of our region. As a branch of the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand, you’ll find a warm welcome for a vast array of vehicles.

The West Coast Vintage Car Club believes classic cars are more than just metal and gasoline. They’re reflections of a bygone era, sparking conversation and encouraging a sense of shared community. The club holds coffee mornings at Shantytown Heritage Park on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 10am. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow car enthusiasts, swap stories, and share your passion for vintage vehicles. Branch meetings take place on the 1st Thursday monthly from 7.30pm, excluding January.

The club organises exciting events throughout the year, including monthly branch runs and an annual rally. These events allow you to showcase your prized possession, explore scenic West Coast backroads, and connect with other car clubs and local happenings. We even participate in Daffodil Day, proudly displaying our vehicles while supporting a worthy cause in our community.

The WCVCC recognizes that yesterday’s classics are tomorrow’s cherished rides. They’re actively seeking new members, especially younger enthusiasts who can keep the club’s motoring spirit alive. With many modern cars, such as Mazdas and Toyotas, reaching eligibility, there’s no better time to join their ranks and celebrate the evolving landscape of car culture.

Tinkering with a timeless tractor, restoring a rumbling motorcycle, or polishing a cherished truck—the club embraces all!
